Technical Officials Course

Scottish Hockey will host a Technical Officials training course at Bells Sports Centre in early December.
Scottish Hockey has a reputation for producing high quality technical officials and as a result of hosting an increasing number of international tournaments at Glasgow Green, there is a significant increase in demand for technical officials. This provides a considerable opportunity for those wishing to pursue a “career” as a technical official. The course will be delivered by one of the EHF/FIH Officials.
This course is an opportunity to become a technical official in the warmth at Bells Sports Centre in Perth on 3rd December from 9.30am – 4.30pm. There will be the opportunity to learn through some theory aspects and then put into practice this learning during the Men’s National League fixtures. For those who attend, there will be future opportunities to practice newly acquired skills in the national indoor and outdoor cup and league competitions, all with a view to possibly joining the senior officials in the international arena one day.
Whilst being an umpire is certainly an advantage, it is not a necessity, and anyone who is interested in becoming a technical official should email [email protected] to register before Friday 25th November.
