National Youth Squad management teams
Scottish Hockey would like to thank the National Youth Squad management teams for volunteering their time over the past three years. The U16 management teams completed their programme earlier in the summer and the EuroHockey Championship II U18 Boys and Girls tournament last week was the finale for the U18 management teams. Head Coaches, Assistant Coaches, and Managers all give up considerable amounts of their time to benefit future Scotland and GB players reach their full potential. They do this by planning a programme and creating an environment, which will develop players’ physical, technical and tactical abilities, as well as lifestyle and psychology aspects. The efforts of these individuals are so valuable in developing players for the future. A big thank you to:
U18 Girls – Justine Allen, Nikki Robertson, Helen McNaught and Susan McDowall
U18 Boys – Stephen McCurry, Keith Smith and Stephen Foster
U16 Girls – Bill Robson, Lee Pendreigh, Pippa Bell, Jamie Frail, Kirsty Fowler and Justine Westwood
U16 Boys – Neil Allan, Chris Duncan, Liam King and Ali Fraser
Congratulations to Chris Duncan (U16 Boys) and Keith Smith (U18 Girls) who have been appointed to the roles of Head Coaches. They are creating their management teams and planning programmes with the School Games, Inter-Districts, and Futures Cup nearly upon us.
