Back to Hockey Launched
Back to Hockey sessions are fun, sociable and informal and aimed at men and women of all ages who either haven’t played hockey for a number of years or who are looking to play for the first time.
A number of clubs are already running similar sessions and so this will help to promote the good work and sessions that are already out there. Back to Hockey will also replace the recent ‘Get Hooked on Hockey’ programme.
Running Back to Hockey sessions bring many benefits to clubs including more players, new volunteers and an additional income. There are also a number of support tools to help promote and run sessions which can be accessed by following the link here.
The main sign up is taking place from 9th May to 19th June, with the aim of the national campaign to attract thousands of players back to hockey!
Last year in England, over 243 clubs delivered sessions and 4,500 players took part in ‘Back to Hockey’. This year under the GB banner, with Scottish and Welsh Club’s on board, the project will be bigger and better!
To sign up to this national campaign, click on the ‘Sign Up‘ link.
