Revising Articles of Association – The Scottish Hockey Union Company Limited

We are intending to amend our existing articles last updated in 2013 and you are invited to an engagement session on the principles we wish to adopt to underpin the redrafting of the articles.  The session will be on MS Teams on 11 November 2026 at 19.00 and will last no longer than one hour. Why are we doing this?

  • They are outdated – the context (regulatory, governance, and hockey landscape) has changed and evolved significantly since then.
  • A sportscotland funded Sports Governing Body in Depth review undertaken by BDO in December 2025 recommended this as a critical action.
  • The current articles do not meet many aspects of governance best practice.
  • There are areas of ambiguity and confusion in the existing articles.
