Trauma Informed Training for Sport
Scottish Hockey, Children First and Kyniska are delighted to announce an exciting new opportunity for the sporting community across Scotland.
Through funding from sportscotland’s Summer of Sport programme, Kyniska are offering a series of free Trauma Informed Practice training webinars designed specifically for those involved in sport.
We want this training to be as accessible as possible and so it is:
- Free of charge
- Delivered online
- Interactive and practical
- Just 2 hours long
- Available during both daytime and evening.
- Sessions available from August 2026 to March 2027
You will come away with a better understanding of how trauma affects behaviour, and simple tools to help you respond and create a safe, supportive environment for the children and young people you work with.
The training is aimed at:
- Coaches
- Volunteers
- Parents and carers
- Child Wellbeing and Protection Officers
- Committee members
- Any adult working with or supporting children and young people in sport
Please find attached an information flyer with further details of this training opportunity.
