Women’s Masters continue to grow
This year has seen our Women’s Masters programme grow to include more than 100 players and they are now in a positon to put out four international teams in the Over 40, Over 45, Over 50 and Over 55 age groups.
With a busy schedule planned for this summer, the squads have been preparing with a number of games between the age groups, as well some more formal games against the Grange Mens Vets team. These games offered the coaches a chance to see the players in action ahead of final selection later in the season.
If you are interested in playing, it’s not too late to be seen. The group have a selection session on Sunday 30th March at Forthbank, Stirling followed by a training session on Sunday 27th April at Peffermill, Edinburgh. Both sessions are from 11.00am until 2.30pm and open to all female players who are 40 years old and over in 2014.
The squads are also looking for managers so if you would like to be involved, but don’t play anymore, why not volunteer for this very worthwhile position. If you want more information about any aspect of Women’s Masters hockey please contact Jacky Burnett via Scottish Hockey here.
