U15 Indoor Club Cup Finals
This Sunday, 23 January, 12 teams will meet in Perth at the inaugural U15 Indoor Club Cup Finals. These are exciting new youth competitions, aimed at encouraging more young players to play indoor hockey, and will offer fantastic youth hockey opportunities for talented young players.
The event, held at Bells Sports Centre, sees six girls’ teams and six boys’ teams competing in separate competitions – see attached U15 Indoor Cup Schedule. Each team will play in a pool of three teams, followed by play-offs and finals, giving everyone three matches.
The Teams
The participating clubs are from across the country:
Girls: Kinross, Granite City Wanderers, Watsonians, BAMBC, Cala EHC and Dundee Wanderers
Boys: Cala EHC, Clydesdale, Kinross, Granite City Wanderers, Dundee Wanderers, Watsonians
Some teams qualified via District tournaments and others directly, ensuring there are teams from East, Midland, North and West Districts. For many players this will be their first experience of indoor hockey and is a great development opportunity.
