Scotland emerging and aspiring squads to compete at 8-Nations
There’s 8-Nations action on the horizon as the Scotland emerging and aspiring girls’ squads play in Spain, and the boys’ head to Germany.
Scotland’s emerging and aspiring girls’ squads are off to compete in Terrassa, Spain, on 11-17 July. Meanwhile the boys’ squads are in Frankfurt (aspiring) and Hanau (emerging) over the same dates.
The 8-Nations is a fantastic development opportunity for the squads that hasn’t been available before. The tournament will offer valuable learning and development for the players and coaches, with the opportunity to play against, and learn from, some of the best hockey nations in the world.
Both Scotland girls’ squads in Spain play in a pool with Germany; Belgium; and England, while Spain, Netherlands; Ireland; and Austria form the other pool.
Spain; England and Belgium are also in Scotland’s pool for both boys’ squads in Hanau with Austria; Germany; Ireland and the Netherlands in the other pool.
In Terassa Scotland Emerging Girls get underway against Belgium in Monday’s match day one before taking on England on Wednesday, and Germany on Thursday.
Scotland Aspiring Girls also begin their tournament on Monday against Belgium before playing England on Tuesday, and Germany on Thursday.
