Lead the Way Group 2021 – 2022 announced
Scottish Hockey is proud to announce our third cohort of Lead the Way participants who will (over the course of the 21-22 season) gain access to a range of experienced presenters and workshops that are designed to help inspire the participants, develop their leadership skills and build their confidence. Ultimately, we hope the group will use the knowledge and experience gained to support their clubs and districts to excel, whether through coaching, volunteering & committee work, or by supporting new projects.

As in previous years, it’s been great to see such a geographical spread of participants, and especially pleasing to see five new clubs represented in the programme this year. The programme kicked off in November with a session on growth mindset, with the next session on Mental Health to be delivered at the end of November and a further four courses scheduled for 2022. Over the next couple of months, the Regional Development Team will also start working with the group on individual development plans, to help ensure that participants get the most out of their Lead the Way experience.
Due to the pandemic, sessions are being delivered online. However, we are really hopeful that we will be able to bring the group together face-to-face before the end of the season. For those who have taken part in Lead the Way in previous years, we are also keen to bring all three groups together for the first time, to network and share their experiences. We will be in touch in 2022!
