Inaugural U14 National Club Cup finals this weekend
This Sunday, 4 July many of our future stars are heading to Dalnacraig, Dundee for the inaugural U14 National Club Cup Finals (Boys & Girls).
The boys’ matches begin at 10.15am, with their final at 12.20pm; and the girls run from 1.30pm-4pm. Please see the U14 Finals 4July Schedule, which reflects current Covid guidelines.
The participating teams qualified from recent regional tournaments in Dundee, Glasgow and Edinburgh. Now the young players will show their skills in the eight-a-side tournament finals taking place in half pitch matches.
In the boys’ competition Clydesdale, Dundee Wanderers, Grove Menzieshill, Inverleith, Kelburne, and Watsonians will take to the pitch.
The girls’ matches will feature Granite City Wanderers, Grove Menzieshill, Gullane, Kelburne, Uddingston, and Watsonians.
Sadly, the venue’s Covid restrictions mean that no spectators will be allowed. However, we are sure that the players will tell their families about every goal, pass and tackle.
After such a disrupted year, these will be the only national youth competitions played this season. We wish all teams best wishes for a happy and successful day’s hockey.
