Blue Sticks Golf Day at Burgess
We are pleased to invite you to our Golf Event on the 7th of July at the Royal Burgess Golfing Society Edinburgh. We are looking for Companies to enter Team`s of 3 with a fourth member being a Scottish Hockey Internationalist and there is a dinner and prize giving after the Golf. The cost is £350 per team and the day starts at 1pm, followed by the dinner at 7pm.
The Golf event is in support of the Scottish Men’s Hockey Team. Our aim for the golf day is not only raise funds to support our men’s national team but also to raise the profile of the team. With some big tournaments ahead for the Scottish Men’s Team they need as much support as possible.
The Scottish Men have two high profile tournaments coming up in the World League (September 2016) and the European Championships (2017). Scotland will host the World League in Glasgow and it is a great opportunity for us to support our national team at home against the best players in the world.
Scotland itself have a number of world class players who will be coming home to play in front of what we hope to be a great home crowd. Currently we have players in top clubs throughout England, Holland, Germany and Belgium, with Kenny Bain our first Scottish player to be picked in the Indian Premier league this year.
With your support we are hoping to climb the World Rankings. We are appealing to the generosity of individuals and companies to get behind the Scottish Athletes. You can be assure that every pound donated goes directly to Scotland Hockey for these athletes to compete at these world class events.
It would be greatly appreciated if you could help us by donating items, sponsoring a hole, sponsoring a nearest to the pin, sponsoring a long drive or coming out to enjoy a great fun and enjoyable day of golf. If you are interest in supporting the team and would like further information you may contact;
Alistair Imrie at 0131 347 8855, 07740 776 900 or email [email protected]
Furthermore don’t forget to mark in your diaries the Hockey World League, in Glasgow in September. Come watch the Scotland Men play and support the team with your presence.
Thank you for your time, we hope to see you at the golf day or at Glasgow Green in September.
