West & East District experience indoor success
West District and East District were the winners of the U18 Boys and Girls Indoor Inter-District events at the Bells Sports Centre in Perth.
In the U18 Boys competition, a last minute winning penalty stroke from Chris McFadden for West District was the crucial factor in his side winning the event.
A 4-3 win over East added to a 5-2 win over North and a 4-4 draw against Midland ensured they finished top of the pool.
Midland were runners-up with a win and two draws.
In the U18 Girls competition, East’s 100% record with four wins from their four matches ensured their success. A hat-trick from Laura Swanson against West District proved vital for her side’s triumph.
Midland finished runners-up after a 8-4 win over North, including a fantastic five goals from Emily Dark.
