Uddingston provide hockey festival for Lanarkshire schools

Uddingston Hockey Club are proud to announce that we will be running two School Hockey Tournaments on the  1st and 3rd of December at our new purpose built water based Astro turf pitch at Uddingston Cricket & Sports Club.
UHC will have up to 600 children playing hockey over the two days all from Primary 6. The festival has had to be held over two days due to the growth of UHC’s in school programme where 15 primary schools regularly receive coaching over the course of the year.
The festival is celebrating the hard work pupils have put in during the  first two terms of the academic year practicing hockey during curricular class PE sessions.
Games played during two hour sessions in the morning (9:30-11:30am) and afternoon (12:00-2:00pm).
There are 12 schools involved from both North and South Lanarkshire:
Bothwell Primary School
Muiredge Primary School
St. John the Baptist Primary School
St. Brides Primary School
St. Mary’s Primary School
Aitkinhead Primary School
Tannochside Primary School
Hamilton college Primary School
Fernhill Primary School
Thorntree Primary School
Wellshot Primary School
QuarryBrae Primary School
