Good start for the Hill
Grove Menzieshill, under the new coaching aegis of Chris
Anderson, have made a good start with a 4-1 win over AAM Gordonians
in the Presidents Cup today. It was 2-1 at the
interval, Ally Irvine and Ben Cromar scored for the Taysiders while
John Graham pulled one back for the Aberdonians at the
interval. Two goals from Paul Martin in the second half
sealed the three points for the Dundonians.
In the women`s Peregrines Cup champions Grove, without several
international players, overcame Giffnock 4-0, the goals came from
Sarah Jamieson, Cameron with an own goal and a double from Lizi
Bush.
Milne Craig Western continued their winning run with a 4-1
win over newly promoted Inverleith, the opener came from a Lorne
Dobbie own goal that came off the keeper and Fiona Bruce from a
direct strike. Nicola Pitticas and Nicole Scott added
another two while Emma Helm got the consolation for the Edinburgh
side.
There was a thrilling six goal thriller at Auchenhowie
that left Western Wildcats and VWS Dundee Wanderers level at
3-3. Kristy Howe scored twice for the Wildcats
and Rachael Houghton got the other, in reply Kyle Ely, Ashleigh
Bunce and Amy Rowan were on target for the Taysiders.
In the other fixture Grange beat Edinburgh University 5-3.
