European indoor test awaits Inverleith in Russia
Inverleith Hockey Club make the long journey to the outskirts of Moscow this week to compete in the EuroHockey Indoor Nations Club Champions Trophy in Russia.
The newly crowned National Indoor League champions will face Royal HC Namur (BEL), HC Minsk (BLR) and Atletico Clube de Portugal (POR) in Pool A of the competition.
Hosts Dinamo Elektrostal (RUS), AH&BH Amsterdam (NED), HC Cambrai (FRA) and Olimpiia Kolos Sekvoya (UKR) will feature in Pool B.

The competition, taking place in the town of Pavlovsky Posad, will split into promotion and relegation pools after three matches, the top two teams in Pool A and B challenging for a place in the Champions Cup, while the bottom two teams from each group face a battle to avoid the drop to the Challenge events.
The added incentive for the Purple Robes is knowing that they will represent Scotland again in next season’s European indoor competitions following the retention of their indoor title in Perth last week.
