Apply to join Scottish Hockey’s Club Development Programme
Scottish Hockey is inviting applications from clubs to become
part of its Club Development Programme. There
are two places available in the programme.
The programme involves:
- Support to develop the club’s structure and
activities - 3 years tailored support based on the needs of the club
Scottish Hockey will provide support to the club
to:
- Identify strengths and opportunities to develop
- Draft a plan to strengthen structures and activities
- If appropriate, changing the way the club operates to bring
about a stronger club - Implement a Stronger Game approach to delivering hockey in the
club - Offer advice and support to implement plans
- Support to attract funds to develop the club
Scottish Hockey will also assist the club to:
- Review current provision of coaching and playing
activities - Draft and implement season plans
- Develop a workforce to deliver to members
Clubs will be selected based on:
- Providing opportunities to all
- Links with Schools and Active Schools
- Current situation in terms of members, players, coaches,
umpires and volunteers - Have club committee backing for the programme
- Club plans and vision to develop
Clubs must be prepared to:
- Meet a minimum of four times a year
- Review structures and activity
- Consider changing the way the club operates to bring about a
stronger club
To apply clubs need to:
- Write a letter of application stating how they meeting the
above criteria - Complete the application form

Glencross by 12 noon Monday 12th September
2011. Clubs who have previously been part of the programme
may not apply.
