2026-27 Club Affiliation Update

We are well into our affiliation month and so far 31 clubs have successfully completed the club compliance aspects of the affiliation process with a further 29 just requiring completion of their club membership. A huge thanks to those who have been proactive so far!

A reminder, by completing the 5 documents, adhering to our policies & updating your club profile this allows us to have confidence that our clubs are operating safely, regardless of what level they participate in (National, District or youth activity) and in line with national sports governance standards.

 

FAQs

I have all 5 documents approved but I can’t complete the club membership – you need to ensure your club profile roles are updated, ensuring the safeguarding officer is added (they can only be added when their individual profile is showing a valid CWPS & CWPO certificate)

Why are my affiliation documents not approved? – A common issue is not all the safeguarding aspects align to the Safeguarding Officer with the CWPO certificate. You need to ensure the contact details on the safeguarding policy & the PVGs documents match the CWPO certificate holder.

What if we need to make changes to the Constitution or Safeguarding Policy? – As a club, you must vote in the changes which need to be made. Clubs will need to hold an EGM to pass the changes then update the documents to sport80 for approval.
