Scotland women’s historic return to the FIH World Cup will be shown live on BBC ALBA iPlayer.
Scottish Hockey secured the deal with BBC ALBA who have thrown its support behind the team marking the nation’s return to hockey’s biggest stage for the first time in 24 years.
The squad will travel to Belgium to take on Germany, the United States and Argentina in the Pool stages, following an outstanding qualification campaign in Hyderabad in March that secured Scotland’s place among the world’s top teams.
Scotland open their World Cup campaign against Germany on Saturday 15 August, before facing the United States on Monday 17 August and Argentina on Wednesday 19 August.
The 2026 World Cup represents a landmark moment for Scottish Hockey, with the women’s team returning to the tournament for the first time since 2002. Qualification is the culmination of years of hard work from players, coaches, clubs and the wider performance pathway, highlighting the continued growth of the women’s game in Scotland.
