Scotland women defeat Czech Republic in game two of test series at Peffermill
Scotland women enjoyed an impressive 4-0 victory over Czech Republic at Peffermill, to make it two wins from two over the visitors, as the Scots prepare for the EuroHockey Championships next month.
It was a great start for Scotland as they took an early lead through a lovely finish into the roof of the net by Fiona Burnet, after good running down the left by Sarah Jamieson and Charlotte Watson, with Watson providing the assist. 1-0.
Scotland controlled the opening quarter and looked a constant threat through the running of Jamieson and Watson, while the midfield and defence made good connections pushing forward.

The pressure continued into the second quarter with the Scots camped out in and around the Czech circle.
Then Katie Robertson was denied by a double save as the Scots pressed for a second goal.
Despite the Scotland dominance there were no further goals and the game was 1-0 at half time.
The attacking play from Scotland was relentless after half time, and Amy Costello was denied by a good save from a powerful drag flick.
Jenny Eadie was next to be denied when she cracked a low shot against the leg guards of the keeper.
The second goal eventually came and it was Laura Swanson who put Scotland 2-0 ahead with a lovely deflection from a penalty corner routine.
In the final quarter Scotland went 3-0 ahead through a close range finish by Sophie Hinds, earning her first Scotland cap, after a good exchange on the right of the circle.
Then Katie Robertson swept the ball home to make it 4-0 for Scotland as the home side put the game out of sight.
