Scotland men’s squad announced for 4-Nations
The Scotland men’s squad for the upcoming 4-Nations tournament at the Uddingston Cricket and Sports Club has been announced.
The Blue Sticks will take to the pitch on Wednesday 29 June – Sunday 3 July to take on Ireland; Wales; and the USA in the capped and competitive home tournament.
The Scots meet USA on Wednesday 29 June at 19:00; Wales on Thursday 30 June at 19:00; then Ireland on Sunday 2 July at 15:00, before the final day of play on Sunday where the final placings will be confirmed.
Scotland men are preparing to head to Birmingham for the Commonwealth Games in July, and the 4-Nations is a great chance for hockey fans to see players looking to be selected for Birmingham.
In Birmingham the Blue Sticks will face Australia; New Zealand; South Africa and Pakistan in an exciting Pool A.
The men’s 4-Nations tournament is free for all spectators to watch top class international hockey close up, and will serve as a test event for the men’s EuroHockey qualifiers, which Scottish Hockey is hosting in partnership with Uddingston Hockey Club, on 24-27 August.
At the EuroHockey qualifiers in August the Scots take on Wales; Switzerland and Gibraltar for a place in the EuroHockey Championships being awarded to the winner.
Tickets for the EuroHockey qualifiers will go on general sale at 10am on Friday 1 July.
