Scotland development teams take on Wales in Wrexham
Scotland development squads took on Wales development squads in Wrexham with the women’s side clocking up a win, and the men being held to a draw.

A Scotland women development squad defeated a Wales women development squad in a 4-2 win in the first match of three in Wrexham.
Cat Booth opened the scoring for Scotland before Millie Steiger scored the goal of the game when she finished off a free-flowing end-to-end move for a fine goal. 2-0. Wales dev pulled one back to make it 2-1 before Ellie Halliday struck to make it 3-1 and restore Scotland’s two-goal lead.
Jenny Walls scored Scotland’s fourth before the Scots took the foot off the pedal towards the end of the contest, allowing Wales to capitalise with a late goal to make it 4-2.
The Scots were on top for the majority of the contest and overall deserved the victory.

Scotland and wales men development teams battled out a very even and competitive 0-0 draw in the first of three matches in Wrexham.
Wales started brightly but Scotland worked their way into the match.
Wales had two good chances in the first half through penalty corners; the first of which was well charged down, while the other went just wide of the bottom right post.
Scotland came close as well when Sam Weissen had a shot saved from close range before half time.
In the second half Henry Emmett made a good save from a penalty corner low to his right to keep Scotland on level terms, while Jack McAllister had a reverse stick shot zip wide of the mark
Scotland had good success at turnovers and from one of these McAllister had a chance to win it for Scotland at the end; from the turnover came a cross from left, and only an outstanding save denied Scotland the winner.
