Grove Menzieshill in pole position
Grove Menzieshill will be looking to continue their 100% win record at the top of the Women’s Aberdeen Asset Management National League Division 1 when they travel to Auchenhowie to play Western Wildcats on Saturday (13.30).
The league leaders are closing in on another league title and currently sit five points ahead of second place Edinburgh University, who face a local derby against CALA Edinburgh at Meggetland (14.00).
Hot on the heels of Edinburgh University for second place and the European qualification spot are Milne Craig Clydesdale Western, who travel east to Edinburgh to play Grange EL at Peffermill (16.30).
There are two fixtures in Aberdeen Asset Management National League Division 2, where the outcomes could have implications for the positions in the bottom half of the league.
A win for Highland at home to basement side Waverley Inveresk Trinity (Bught Park, 13.30) would greatly boost their pursuit of evading the trapdoor to Division 3, while Glasgow University also face a crunch game against Borders Fjordhus Rievers at Garscube (11.30).
AAM Merlins Gordonians can take a big step towards winning the Aberdeen Asset Management National League Division 3 title this weekend with a win over Stirling Wanderers at Countesswells on Saturday (14.00).
The leaders sit ten points ahead of second place Dundee University, who travel north to the Granite City to play Aberdeen Ladies at Rubislaw (12.00), and a win for the students will keep them in a strong position for promotion.
As a result, Aberdeen University will need to target securing three points away to Bon Accord MBC (12.00, Rubislaw) if they are to stay within touching distance of their university rivals and stay in the promotion race.
Finally, the bottom two go head to head on Saturday, when Strathclyde University host Ayr Ladies at Millerston (12.30).
