Easter Update – Development Team

CLUBS – WHAT’S COMING UP & WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW!

As we approach the end of the 2025-26 season Scottish Hockey has been busy at the helm launching our new strategy: Shaping the Future of Hockey in Scotland and hosting various school and club events! To see what is coming up have a look on our events page!

AFFILITATION

Our focus now turns to our next few months and the key information clubs will need to become compliant across all areas of club governance. A huge thank you to the clubs who completed this for last season!

In line with our new strategic priorities – we will cover what it takes to become ‘Well Organised’. We will deliver more information through social media, email and webinars to support committee members ensuring our clubs continue to be safe and vibrant places. Please ensure your committee details are updated on Sport80 especially after club AGMs!

Timelines to note:

June – Affiliation re-opens, clubs have until the end of the month to re-declare their information or make changes. In order to affiliate for 2026-27 season clubs are required to have the 5 core documents (see here) in place. If you require more support to meet the minimum operating standards, please get in contact. You will not be allowed to pay for your club membership until this has been submitted.

*Please note, additional Child/Adult Wellbeing & Protection in Sport courses will run throughout the summer to support Safeguarding Officers obtaining certificates.

Competition Entry – Competition entry opens 23rd June – 7th July for those who have completed the minimum club compliance standards.

August – Auto renewal of memberships will take place on the 31st August. Clubs should ensure that all club members purchase a membership suited to their needs and declare any roles or other certifications on Sport80.

More information will come out in due course.

AGM – ENSURE YOUR TRUSTEES ARE UPDATED

With the AGM quick on the horizon (15th June) we require all trustees to be showing on Sport80 via the roles section on your clubs profile (step by step guide for club admins here). From there trustees will be invited to a Pre-AGM meeting to discuss the financial accounts and any questions they wish to ask at the main AGM. This is set for a provisional date of 11th May online.

WE NEED YOU!!!

We are only as good as the information you provide us via our membership system on Sport80! We require for ALL members to update their individual profiles especially those who are supporting clubs in any regulated roles. For more info on the regulated roles and how to update your profile please see here.
