Coach Education Workforce Model launched
The ‘Hockey Coaching Strategy Group for Great Britain’
today launched the Coach Education Workforce Model as part of its
vision to implement a world-leading coaching system that will
deliver active, skilled and appropriately qualified coaches to
every stage of player pathways.
Scottish Hockey, England Hockey Board and Welsh Hockey have
been working together to develop this coaching system across Great
Britain for a number of years.
The release in April 2011 of the Coaching Strategy for Great
Britain Model has been received positively by coaching agencies
and colleagues in other National Governing Bodies.
The addition of the Coach Education Workforce
Model will be vital to achieving a highly motivated and
qualified education workforce to deliver coach education across the
Home Nations.
Colleen Reid, Coach Education Development Manager, said:
“The Coach Education Workforce Model is a great tool and gives
individuals an understanding of what is required to effectively
deliver coach education. The model is quick and easy to use, and
clearly demonstrates the skills, knowledge and experience required
to deliver coach education programmes and assessments.”

Model.
