Scottish Hockey are pleased to announce the return of our Walking Hockey Festivals. This year, we are running three festivals around the country:

Saturday 17th August, Meadowmill Sports Centre, Tranent, EH33 1LZ. 11am – 2pm.

Sunday 1st September, Riverside Playing Fields, University of Dundee, Riverside Drive, Dundee, DD2 1UQ. 11am – 2pm.

Sunday 15th September, Glasgow – venue TBC.

Whether you are new to hockey, a seasoned pro, you are returning from injury or other reasons, Walking Hockey is a low impact activity and encourages everyone to be active regardless of age, health or ability. The rules of the game are simple, it’s hockey but you walk.

Those playing walking hockey will tell you they love to play it as it keeps them fit and helps build their confidence. Another huge benefit of the activity is that it provides a positive environment to develop friendships and socialise with like-minded people.

The festival is suitable for all abilities and ages 14+ and you can borrow a stick if you need one or bring your own.

After playing hockey, you are welcome to relax and have a bite to eat in the venue where refreshments will be served.

It is £5 per person to enter the festival payable on arrival.  Reserve your space and sign up to the festival by clicking here.

If you have any questions, or require support in registering, please contact Mhairi at [email protected] or call 07787151063.

If you’d like to try walking hockey before the festival, check out our Walking Hockey page and find your nearest club.
