Clean sweep for East
East District won the under 18 girl`s inter-district
tournament at Forthbank in some style, they won all their matches
in a pool competition.
Midland were the first to fall in the opening game, two goals
each for Jenny Polson and Lucy Preston along with one by Amber
McNeill saw East win by 5-2. Preston continued her fine
scoring form with another double in the 5-1 win over North, the
other goals came from McNeill, Clare Laverty and Sarah
Jamieson.
There were hat-tricks for Preston, taking her personal tally to
seven, and Sarah Jamieson as the East District cruised to a 7-1
victory over South, Laura Page completing the scoring.
The showdown was against West who were only two points behind
and could have taken the title with the three points.
