Women’s Masters Head to Belfast
After a very successful trip to Dublin in June, Scotland’s Women’s Masters are heading to the European Open Masters Tournament held in Belfast over August 13th-17th.
Three teams, Over 40, Over 45 and Over 50 went to Dublin at the beginning of the summer to compete in the Home Nations Masters Hockey Tournament and performed very well, finishing third out of six teams. The tournament acted as great oppotunity for the squad to play together ahead of next month’s European Open Masters Tournament and give them a chance to thoroughly prepare for the event.
For the Open in Belfast, Scotland are are taking a combined-age team to compete in the Over 40s section. They will play England, Ireland and Australia (yes, the European team of Australia!) and will be led by Ali Ramsay with Sharon Duncan assisted by Mabe Neish as player coaches.
