West District youth finals prove a hit
Over 250 youths ranging from U10 to U18 level took part in the West District indoor finals at the Lagoon Centre in Paisley last weekend.
The finals were the culmination of each competition, which have been running since the latter part of 2012. A number of teams from Clydesdale, Kelburne, Hillhead, Western Wildcats, Stepps and Uddingston took part and were mixed gender up to U16 level.
In the U18 age group, both Kelburne and Clydesdale have qualified for the national U18 Boys Indoor Cup taking place at Bells Sports Centre this weekend.
A large crowd thoroughly enjoyed the hockey on show, which bodes well for development of youth hockey in the West District. Scottish Hockey congratulates all the youngsters and competition organisers on an enjoyable and successful event.
