Under 21 win in Hamburg
In Hamburg Scotland men`s under 21 side beat top German
club side An der Alster 3-2, part of the build up for the European
Junior Nations Championships in Den Bosch in two weeks
time.
Poor marking allowed Alster to hold a one goal half-time
lead.
There was a flurry of goals in the final 20 minutes, Glynhill
Kelburne striker Alan Forsyth equalised with a lift over the
advancing goalkeeper. The Germans took a 2-1 lead, but again
Forsyth brought the Scots youngsters level with a first time
reverse stick shot following a cut-back. The winner
came in the final minute from a long corner and Clydesdale`s Scott
Lindsay was on hand to fire the ball into the net.
