u16 Boys & Girls Take on England
Scotland’s u16 boys and girls take to the pitch this
weekend to both play two friendly matches against England at
Forthbank Stadium in Stirling.
The games, despite being friendlies allow the squads the
opportunity to get more international game experience under their
belts and build upon recent performances.
U16 girls coach Bill Robson is fully aware of the tough
opposition they face, but is confident going into the weekend. “The
matches against England provide the perfect finale to the season.
They will be a perfect opportunity for us to measure the squad’s
progress in a competitive and challenging environment. England with
their huge talent pool will be tough opposition but during our
recent trip to Ulster the team showed real signs of progress
and are as well prepared as they can be. We go into the games
confident in our own ability and ready for the challenge, tough as
it may be”.
Allan Law, the Scotland’s boys coach says “The squad has been
working very hard since November, with a view towards playing
England. Our main objective for this weekend is to put in two
positive performances, if this happens I am confident we
will again two good results. “
The girls play on Saturday 7 July at 3pm then on
Sunday 8 July at 10am
The boys play on Saturday 7 at 5pm the on Sunday 8
July at 12pm
