Two wins from two as Scotland U21 women win 3-1 against Wales
Scotland U21 women made it two wins from two as they beat Wales U21 women 3-1 in the second of their three-match series.
There was an early goal for Scotland U21 women and it came from an impressive finish by Anna Mae Wennardt to make it 1-0.
Then Lucy Williamson was denied from a powerful strike from the top of the D at a penalty corner routine.
Scotland went 2-0 ahead through a stunning finish by Ciara Forgie. The diving deflected finish into the top corner of the net was a sublime moment as the Scots played some top hockey.
A lovely solo run and effort by Bella Rochetines almost found the net for Wales but the ball bounced just wide.
Scotland would eventually find a third and it came through a lovely counter that was finished off by Izzy Usher from close range to put Scotland U21 women 3-0 ahead.
Wales U21 women pulled one back from a penalty corner by Lily Roberts. The goal came after two Scots were sent back to the half way line for breaking too early. 3-1.
The closing stages were end-to-end but there would be no further goals and Scotland enjoyed another excellent win at home to Wales.
