Strathallan triumph in U16 Boys Scottish Cup
Strathallan School were the winners of the U16 Boys
Scottish Cup at Countesswells, Aberdeen last weekend, with a 100%
record of four wins from four matches.
Following the postponement of the competition scheduled in March
due to snow, the Scottish Cup was pushed back from its traditional
slot in the calendar to June.
The competition was played in a round-robin format with
Clydesdale, Watsonians, Gordonians, and Perthshire the other teams
participating in the final stages.
The significant result was the match played between Strathallan
and eventual runners-up Clydesdale, with the high school narrowly
edging the contest courtesy of a 1-0 win over the Glasgow club.
Following wins against Gordonians (5-1), Watsonians (4-2), and
Perthshire (4-0), they retain the cup won in 2009/10.
