For aspiring young players, our Youth Camps are a fun way to learn how to play hockey and Scottish Hockey offers four camps this summer covering a range of abilities.
Following on from the success of last years Edinburgh day camp at Mary Erskine’s an extra camp has been added to replace the Strathallan residential camp. Full details of the camps can be down loaded as a pdf flyer, however the basic details are as below:
1st – 3rd July – Mary Erskine Day Camp 1 – Cost £80
- This camp is aimed at younger players looking to learn new skills and techniques in a fun and friendly environment. Designed to help develop ability by reinforcing the basics and teach new skills while offering an exciting and engaging setting
8th – 10th July – Mary Erskine Day Camp 2 – Cost £80
- This camp is aimed at those players already familiar with the game and who have had previous playing experience at school or youth club level. The camp will focus on developing players’ abilities as well as teaching new skills and techniques. GK and outfield
22nd -26th July – Glenalmond Residential Camp (Girls) – Cost £300
- This camp is aimed at already experienced hockey players who have played at upper school, club, district etc. levels. The camp will work to develop already well established hockey playing abilities as well as teach new skills and techniques . GK and outfield
29th -31st July – St Leonard’s Residential Camp – Cost £180
- This camp is aimed at those players already familiar with the game and who have had previous playing experience at school or youth club level. The camp will focus on developing players’ abilities as well as teaching new skills and techniques. GK and outfield

Players attending the Youth Camps will have the benefit of:
- Specialist skill workshops with UKCC qualified Scottish Hockey coaches.
- A camp t-shirt and certificate
- 10% discount for Scottish Hockey members
- Friendly tournaments and competitions with individual and team prizes.
- Fun, social activities so you can express yourself off the pitch too – quiz nights, talent shows, movie runs, and more.
For parents, the camps are a cost-effective way for your children to spend a fun-packed and productive week or weekend during the school holidays.
They are also an excellent social experience for youngsters, where they will meet new people and make friendships with children of a similar age. An excellent and enjoyable way to spend the school holidays!
Parents should feel reassured about the safety of their children at the Youth Camps. Our hockey coaches are fully qualified and have undergone full disclosure checks. This ensures that a safe and secure environment is provided for young people to enjoy hockey to its full potential.
