Scottish officials in action in January
The New Year has brought Scottish officials to the fore in international tournaments throughout January.
Top billing must go to Martin Madden who is umpiring at the FIH Odisha Hockey Men’s World Cup in Bhubaneswar, India which will run until 29 January.
Martin has already umpired on the opening day in the Australia v France match. The matches are being shown on BT Sport if anyone is keen to see top quality hockey and our top umpire in action.
In Europe the competitions are still indoors and this weekend in Lucerne, Switzerland at the Indoor Women’s EuroHockey Indoor Junior Championship we have Jean Duncan as umpires manager, and Lena McCrae as one of the EHF appointed umpires.
Gavin Cruickshanks will be in Nymburk in the Czech Republic as one of the EHF appointed umpires appointed to the Indoor Men’s EuroHockey Indoor Junior Championship.
