Scottish Hockey Announces Aspiring & Emerging Training Squads for the 2024/25 Cycle
Scottish Hockey has named the National training squads for this year’s aspiring squads and boys’ emerging squad.
It’s an exciting year ahead for our National pathway squads, with all squads working towards selection for a 4 Nations at Easter. For the emerging squads, the opportunity awaits to play in a European 8 Nations tournament in the Netherlands this summer.
For our aspiring squads, they have a big year ahead as they prepare for their respective European U18 competitions in the summer.
Performance Pathway Lead, Kelly Fillingham, said:
‘It’s a great time for a young player to be involved in the National squads. With so many training and high level competitive opportunities throughout the cycle, we’ve built a programme for our young players that’s really going to stretch and challenge them.
It’s been a robust selection phase and I’d like to say a big well done to all the BRAVE / National coaches and players involved.
I’m looking forward to seeing our young players thriving over this next cycle and really showing what they are capable of at this level.’
