Scotland Under 18’s Boys Squad announced for Euro’s
The Scotland Under 18 Boys’ squad has been announced for the upcoming EuroHockey Youth Championships II in Cardiff, Wales. The matches will start on Sunday 22nd July and the tournament will run until Saturday 28th July.
Scotland face Wales in their first game on Sunday 22nd July at 6:00pm, the second game falls on Tuesday 24th July against Czech Republic at 3:45pm. The following day, Wednesday 25th July, the Scots face Switzerland at 3:45pm completing their pool stage.
The semi finals and finals will be played on the 27th and 28th July.
Head coach Andrew Brogdon said: “It continues to be a privilege to work with such a grounded, able and motivated squad of young men. Making the final selection for this tournament was extremely difficult, as over 30 players have made extremely valuable contributions to the group as a whole over the last 12 months.
“I believe that the final squad selected will provide us with positional and tactical flexibility, strong penalty corner options in both attack and defence, and positive leadership throughout.
“I, along with the rest of coaching team, the boys families, club and school coaches are really excited to watch this squad play their brand of hockey on the European stage. I know the boys can’t wait to get started’.”
