Scotland Masters Trials – O50 and O55
Initial trials for the 2013 Masters O50 and O55 squads
will be held at Peffermill on Sunday 11 November 2012. The
trials will take the form of a District Competition and it is hoped
to be able to form teams representing West, East, Midlands, North
and South, with the latter being the host district for players not
currently registered with a Scottish club that would be interested
in playing with the Masters in 2013.
If you would like to take part in the trials, please arrange to
contact your Masters District representative who will be organising
the combined O50/O55 team(s) for 11 Nov. These are :
West : John Hay and John Bennett
Midlands : Benny
Gibson
East : Tim
Wilcock
North and South : To be advised but contact Tim Wilcock if you are
interested in either volunteering to organise the team and/or want
to play
Games will start at 10am and the tournament will conclude around
4pm. Please bring a white and coloured shirt and if you
qualify for the O50’s team (i.e. you were born in 1963 or earlier)
please wear blue socks and if you qualify for the O55’s (i.e. you
were born in 1958 or earlier) please wear red socks. There
will be a £10 match fee payable on the day.
Initial squads will be selected from those participating on 11
November. There will be monthly training sessions starting in
January 2013 with final squad selection for the England Divisionals
(May), Home Nations (June/July) and European Cup (August) being
made at some time in April.
If you need any further information, contact your district
representative in the first instance, or Tim Wilcock
