Scotland Emerging Boys win two from three against Ulster
Scotland Emerging Boys travelled to Belfast this weekend to play three matches against a tough and physical Ulster team, as the squad prepares for the 8 Nations in Spain. The team won two of the three games over the weekend.
With a relatively young and inexperienced squad the Friday night game ended 4-1 to the Emerging boys. With goals from Callum Young (Inverleith), Findlay Duncan (Grove Menzieshill) and a brace on his debut for Zak Turtle (Inverleith).
Saturday was a slow start for the Emerging boys finding themselves 3-2 down at halftime, eventually overturning the score line winning 5-3. Goal scorers Matthew Leiper (Watsonians), Ben Maclellan (Western Wildcats), Thomas McInroy (Perthshire), Zac Turtle and Findlay Duncan.
Sunday was a game of missed opportunities with what was the best attacking display of the weekend, unfortunately despite a solo effort from Callum Young the Emerging boys suffered defeat 3-1.
Next up is two matches against England at Uddingston next weekend.
