Scotland defeat Dutch club in warm-up
Scotland’s warm-up for the FIH World League 2 got off to a good start with a 3-0 win over Dutch side KZ in Rome.
Nikki Kidd opened the scoring in the eighth minute from a penalty corner to give the Scots a 1-0 lead at halftime.
Vikki Bunce doubled the advantage late in the second half when she rounded the keeper to pass into an empty goal in the 63rd minute.
Ailsa Wylie made sure of the win when she connected with a Susan McGilveray shot at the at the back post to make it 3-0.
Scotland Women Head Coach Gordon Shepherd said, “I was delighted with the performance overall, particularly against a strong Dutch team. This sets us up well for our matches against Italy.”
