Richard Docherty Indoor Junior Tournament
On Saturday 10th January 2015 the Richard Docherty indoor Hockey Trophies will be competed for between under 16 male and female hockey teams from Cala Edinburgh Hockey Club and Inverleith Hockey Club.
This event will be at Meadowbank Sports Centre, Edinburgh 10am to 1.30pm and entry is free to all.
Last year this was a spectacle of youth indoor hockey from all teams with both trophies being won by Cala Edinburgh.
Between games there will be a skills competition and we are hoping to give the kids the opportunity to speak to young Scotland internationalists. There will also be a raffle with a variety of prizes.
Any monies raised through this event will be donated to the Richard Docherty Tribute Fund (Diabetes UK) and Richmond Hope, a charity for bereaved children.
All are welcome to a great day of hockey and fun for all.
Charity Auction Dinner
On the evening of this event is the Richard Docherty Auction Dinner at the Apex Hotel, Grassmarket, Edinburgh. Arrive at 6.30 for a champagne reception, dinner at 7pm followed by a disco to dance the night away.
Another amazing event again to raise funds for the above charities. Tickets for this fabulous night are £50. Tables of 10 can also be purchased.
To purchase tickets email [email protected] stating number of tickets required and any special dietary requirements.
Both are fantastic events and are being held, not only in memory of a remarkable young man who was part of the Scottish Hockey family from childhood and sorely missed by both family and close friends, but also to raise awareness and funds for two very worth while charities both closely linked to Richard.
Don’t miss out…..
