Remembering Gerry Ralph
Dear Members,
On Wednesday 17 February, the hockey family lost an inspirational figure when Gerry Ralph sadly passed away.
As a founding member of Kelburne Hockey Club, former President of Scottish Hockey and European Hockey Federation Committee Member / Chair, the club will recognise Gerry’s immense contribution to the sport, both in Scotland and overseas, with a minute’s silence before their men’s and women’s fixtures this weekend.
Today, we are advising clubs and umpires that should they also wish to remember Gerry and recognise his contribution to hockey, a minute’s silence or applause, as deemed appropriate, can take place before the start of men’s and women’s hockey fixtures in Scotland this weekend.
This has come with the blessing of the Ralph family.
