Progress being made on Glasgow Green Hockey Centre
Construction of the Glasgow Green Hockey Centre is now well underway with the venue now beginning to take shape.
For those of you who have not had opportunity to pass the Glasgow Green site recently, the image below gives a current view of the construction facing the stand.

Although the project experienced some delays recently Glasgow Life anticipates that this time will be made up (weather permitting) and the venue is still due to be finished in the summer of 2013.
The Glasgow Green Hockey Centre is an exciting and fantastic development for the sport. Scottish Hockey has been in regular consultation with Glasgow Life and Glasgow 2014 to help ensure that the venue will not only be equipped for the Commonwealth Games in less than two years’ time but, most importantly, that there is a legacy for hockey and our members.
Robert Heatly, Chief Executive Officer said “Seeing the National ‘Home for Hockey’ project well under construction makes this an exciting time for everyone, not least those who have been involved in negotiations over the past few years. The Board of Scottish Hockey, supported by the Project Board, is continuing to work hard to ensure there is a legacy provided and we are confident that the new flagship Hockey facility will be pivotal to developing the sport of Hockey in Scotland”.
