Over 50 Schools dribbling around the World
The commonwealth dribble that has been launched ahead of Glasgow 2014 is moving at great speeds, with over 50 schools currently participating and still counting.
As part of Glasgow 2014 and under Scottish Hockey legacy brand ‘Hockey Generation’ we have created a fun and educational way of getting kids into hockey. They have to dribble a ball the target distance of a country or territory that are competing in the Commonwealth over the summer to add to our national total, the distance from Delhi to Glasgow.
Arduthie School in Stonehaven have already completed their target, dribbling a total distance of 40,989 metres of which they have linked these to 9 countries within the Commonwealth.
They completed their Commonwealth Dribble target as one part of Commonwealth day on 10th of March during their PE curriculum time.
PE Teacher Jenny Munro said ‘All pupils really enjoyed the event and found it great fun to learn hockey.’
