Aberdeen Asset Management Men’s National League Division 1
In Aberdeen Asset Management Men’s National League Division 1, it was goals galore this weekend with 51 goals
At Peffermill on Saturday, Inverleith and PSL Team Sport Clydesdale put on a 14 goal thriller; the capital outfit led 4-3 at half time, only for the Titwood side to take the lead for the first time at 6-5 during an end to end second half. The final score was 8-6 to the visitors, leaving the home side still struggling at the bottom of the table.
Meanwhile, Hillhead continued a promising start to their league campaign with a thumping 5-1 win over last year’s runners-up Grange at the Glasgow National Hockey Centre. An outstanding performance from the home side’s goalkeeper Jamie Frail, plus goals from Andrew Hilton, Andy MacLaine, Ewan Campbell and John Reid ensured Hillhead moved up to third in the division.
Leaders Grove Menzieshill continued their unbeaten record with a 6-2 win over city rivals Dundee Wanderers at DISC.
Western Wildcats, who are also yet to lose a match, played out a spectacular nine goal bout against fellow mid-table side AAM Gordonians. Scott McCartney fired five goals past the Aberdonians with Joe Simpson the other Wildcats scorer. Final score was 6-3.
Kelburne prepared for EHL competition with two tough encounters this weekend. The Paisley side won theirfirst game away to Edinburgh University 4-1. It was an even paced match with Johnny Christie notching a double and Tom Kemsley netting one for the students leaving it 2-1 at half time. Kelburne took their chances in the second half with top goal scorer Jack McKenzie scoring two and Lee Morton claiming in the other, helping Kelburne to the three points.
On Sunday, the defending champions were away at Titwood and came away with just a point in a tense 2-2 draw against PSL Team Sport Clydesdale to leave themin second place.
Elsewhere on Sunday, Grange recovered to beat local adversaries Inverleith 5-1, leaving the Purple Robes anchored at the foot of the league.

Lots of double headers in Aberdeen Asset Management National League Division 2 this weekend, with some tough matches for tired legs.
Glasgow University demonstrated their talent with a 7-1 win against FMGM Monarchs. Macauley slotted away four handsome goals past the bottom side to give the students their first win of the season.
Unfortunately, they could not match their performance yesterday, as they lost 4-2 to Erskine Stewart’s Melville. The capital side move up to sixth in the table.
Uddingston move up to third after two excellent victories; on Saturday, they were away to University of St Andrews, winning 5-2, followed by a spectacular 10-1 win over CALA Edinburgh on Sunday. The feast of goals came from a hat-trick by JonJo Lavin, four goals from Josh Cairns, another two by Steven Percy and one from Laurie McKelvie.
Uddingston weren’t the only ones to impress and win all their matches at the weekend; Falkirk GHG snatched a win from CALA Edinburgh and then secured a 2-1 win over Alpha Data Carnegie, who have dropped to eighth.
Stepps drop down to fourth despite a 5-1 away win against Alpha Data Carnegie, including a hat-trick from D.Hitchon, with the other goals from G.Hood and R.McDermott.
University of St Andrews moved up to seventh after a 3-2 win against Granite City Wanderers. Watsonians were held to a 0-0 draw with Aberdeen GSFP and Erskine Stewart’s Melville FP travelled away to Granite City Wanderers for a 0-0 draw.

Over 77 goals were scored in this division over the weekend and maintaining their top position are 2020 Renewables Greenock after their spectacular 8-0 win over ADTI Aberdeen University. The student based team redeemed themselves after this loss onSunday with a 2-1 triumph against Harris Academy FP. Greenockfollowed their mighty victory with a close 3-2 away win against Stirling Wanderers.
Perthshire hit double figures on Saturday when playing at home to bottom of the table Chapman Motherwell, with the final score being 10-1.  The struggling side didn’t have time to rest up as they welcomed Highland the following day, only to lose 6-1 to the northern side.
Perthshire didn’t show any tiredness the following day and put away six goals against University of Strathclyde, moving them up to fourth spot. The university team may have lost but secured their first win over Waverly Inveresk Trinity 3-2.
Ayr are yet to secure a win this season, after a close match against Giffnock, losing 3-2.It didn’t get much easier on Sunday as  they were on the receiving end of a 9-0 loss away to Waverley Inveresk Trinity

Regional League Central Division 1

Rottenrow Blue Sox secured a 3-0 win over fellow Glaswegians GHK, and have moved up to second in the league. Clydeside beat PSL Team Sport Clydesdale III 3-1 which helped them move up to third in the division.
