One Olympic summer One big weekend
On 18 & 19 August (the first weekend after the Olympics and
before the Paralympics), Join In Local Sport will encourage the
nation to head down to where it starts for every great champion –
their local sports club.
The aim of Join In is for every sports club in the UK to put on a
special event or activity on the Join In weekend.
The Join In Weekend is an opportunity for sports clubs and
community groups to attract new members, helpers and supporters and
your club can host an event and be part of the UK’s biggest
celebration of local sport.
Hosting an event or activity is free and simple – here’s how to do
it: www.joininuk.org/kitbag/creating-an-event
To help everyone make the most of their day, Join In have launched
a free club kitbag, featuring event posters, flyers, practical
guides and more.
