On the brink of promotion in Aleksin

Scotland`s under 21 women are within sight of a top two
finish and promotion at the European Nations Championships 11 in
Aleksin, Russia, and that could be confirmed today if Dave Stott`s
charges can see off Lithuania today and other results fall into
place.
With two games left, the Scots are two points behind leaders
Russia and one ahead of the Czech Republic in third place, and
these sides clash head to head. Perhaps the best
scenario for Stott would be a Russian victory over the Czechs, then
both Scotland and Russia would be guaranteed promotion, and the two
sides would clash on the final day for the gold medal.
Stott is too experienced to take a victory over Lithuania for
