Olympians to visit Girls Inter-Districts
Following on from the success of last weekend’s boys
inter-districts, it’s the girls turn this weekend and spectators
and players are in for a special visit from Scottish Olympians
Emily Maguire and Laura Bartlett.
The two GB stars will be coming along on the Sunday to take part
in two ‘Meet the Stars’ sessions, where players and spectators will
be given the chance to hear from the girls on what is like to be an
Olympian. Emily and Laura will then stay for the rest of the day
before going on to be involved in the presentations where their
achievements will be recognised; as well as presenting the winners
and runners up medals.
The sessions are at 12.30pm and 1.30pm allowing for those busy
playing or watching at one time to come to the next session.
Located upstairs at Peffermill, sessions will last approximately 30
minutes and everyone is welcome to attend, so come on down to
Peffermill and see some cracking hockey as well as having the
opportunity to meet our Olympic stars!
