There are double headers in this weekend’s Aberdeen Asset Management National Division 1 fixture card.
Leaders Grove Menzieshill could take two giant leaps towards retaining their league crown if they can beat CALA Edinburgh away from home on Saturday (14.00 Meggetland) before taking on city rivals Dundee Wanderers in a local derby at DISC (14.30) on Sunday.
The battle for second place and the European qualification spot is a four-way fight; Edinburgh University could emerge from this weekend as favourites for the runners-up spot if they can overcome Dundee Wanderers and Milne Craig Clydesdale Western. No easy task.
Elsewhere, Glynhill Hotel Kelburne will try to get back to winning ways after losing 5-0 to Dundee Wanderers in their last match with back to back home victories against bottom place Inverleith and Western Wildcats (Sun, 15.00, Bellahouston).
Western Wildcats will be hoping to avoid the drop, in a three way fight with Grange EL and Inverleith, by beating Giffnock on Saturday (14.00, Hutcheson’s Grammar School). Grange EL will also be hoping to beat away side Giffnock on Sunday, to boost their chances of staying up.

League leaders GHK will hope to get closer towards automatic promotion and continue their unbeaten run since October by defeating Granite City Wanderers (15.00, Anniesland). However the away side will be desperate to end their losing drought as they haven’t won a game since December.
The battle for the all-important second place and promotion playoff spot sees Borders Fjordhus Reivers host second place Watsonians at Tweedbank (13.00). However, the title challengers will be looking to keep the pressure on the league leaders with three points.
Meanwhile relegation battlers Waverley Inveresk Trinity have to record wins away to Hillhead (Sat, 12.30, Jordanhill School) and Granite City Wanderers (Sun, 13.30, Aberdeen Sports Village) if they are to have any chance of steering themselves away from relegation.
Haddington Ladies will be hoping to stay clear of a relegation fight with Waverley by beating seventh place Highland Ladies on Saturday (12.00, Aubigny Centre), whilst eighth place Glasgow University will have the same intentions as they face Erskine Stewarts Melville (13.00).
AAM Merlins Gordonians will be desperate for a victory against University of Strathclyde (12.30, Millerston) as a win would guarantee them promotion from Aberdeen Asset Management National League Division 3.
