Masters World Cup
Build up for the Masters World Cups in 2022 about to start!
Following a short but very welcome programme of matches in 2021, the 15 international age group squads are about to start on their build up through to the various WMH World Cups in 2022.
With the usual GB&I 4 Nations events scheduled for May/June (and the O60m/O65m/O70m with their Celtic Cup in April) the management groups are already booking pitches for training sessions which will be due to start in the next month or so.
It would appear that a number of players used the 2021 season to say a last ‘hurrah’ to an age group and are planning to move up so we are looking forward to seeing the ‘new’ training squads at the different age groups.
The focus for many of the groups will be the WMH World Cups which are due to take place following their cancelation in both 2020 and 2021.
O35/O40 m&w 12th – 21st August – Nottingham, England
O45 – O55m 1st – 10th October – Cape Town, South Africa
O45 – O65w 1st – 10th October – Cape Town, South Africa
O60 – O70m 19th – 29th October – Tokyo, Japan
