Lead the Way Cohort Begin Their Leadership Journeys!

On Sunday, November 12th, eight ambitious and enthusiastic leaders embarked on their Lead the Way journey with Scottish Hockey. Lead the Way is dedicated to enhancing the knowledge and skills of both current and future leaders within the hockey community.

The day kicked off with an induction to the programme, spotlighting the exciting learning and development opportunities available to the cohort. Following this, the candidates gained invaluable insights into Scottish Hockey, as CEO Barry Cawte and Director of Hockey Operations Jennifer Griffin presented the organization’s 10-year vision, “Reset, Build, Excel,” along with its core values, strategic priorities, and goals.

In the afternoon, Growth Mindset Coach Jamie McBrearty joined the group to delve into growth mindset, leading change, and goal setting. Sharing a wealth of knowledge and advice, Jamie provided the candidates with valuable tools to incorporate into their Lead the Way journey. The day concluded with candidates beginning to visualise their club projects and defining their goals.

After a tremendously positive induction session, we look forward to supporting the group throughout their 18-month journey and seeing the positive impact they will make.
